Some advices to enjoy

Summer/winter activities at Alpe d’Huez

All the activities below are less than 30 minutes from our apartment.

Dog Sledding

Enjoy an unforgettable dog sled tour on pedestrian routes ! You will depart from Les Bergers and ride through the quiet col de Sarenne, (cost between 40 and 70 € per person).

Skidoo – Centre commercial des Bergers (mall)

A dynamic and experienced team will introduce you to their impressive and fun engines and detail their different tour options (day tours, evening tours, cost between 80 and 150€).

Skijoring

Glide behind a horse ! Skijoring available at the horse-riding club, located next to the « Rond Point des Pistes » (beginners are welcome).

La Cabane

Great on-mountain restaurant, access via the Romains ski-lift (which departs from Les Bergers). Wide choice, large sundeck, lounge afternoon ambiance. Dinner available upon reservation (snow cat access) : a MUST !

Swimming pool, Fitness, Relaxation

Activities dedicated to relaxation, discover the places to try during your stay in Alpe d’Huez.

Track Sledding – Departure at Les Bergers

The sledding track is a 15-minute walk from the apartment or via the Alpe Express. With or without a virtual reality mask, alone or not, enjoy this new activity (cost 7€).

Ice rink

Ice skating, ice hockey, supervised activities: initiation curling and human curling, events … The ice rink of the Alpe d’Huez welcomes you all week! Information at the reception of the ice rink.

Airplane Tours – Altiport

Discovery flights on the famous « Abeille de l’Alpe d’Huez » : the plane is operated by a mountain lover and experienced guide and departs from the Altiport (cost between 50 and 120€).

Helicopter Tours – Altiport

Helicopter tours over the summits, transfer to/from airport, or to the 2 Alpes skiing summit (every Thursday). Some ski passes include full-day discoveries of the 2 Alpes domain.

Biking

Although Alpe d’Huez is famous for its skiing experience, the resort becomes a playground for bikers between May and end of October. Cruiser bikes and mountain bikes are both available to enjoy the sites. Bike rentals are available. We highly recommend Alpe Sports (details below) : experienced and reliable, they will also give you a 30% discount on rentals as our partner ; make sure you mention us (ROCHE LAUVITEL) !
